Your context stays
on this Mac.

Glint watches only the window you're focused on, turns it into text on-device, and removes secrets before anything is saved. Nothing is uploaded, there's no account, and no raw screenshots are ever written to disk.

You stay in control: pause capture at any time, decide which messaging apps (if any) Glint may read, block any app, and delete a thread — or everything — whenever you want.

What Glint never captures

These are skipped automatically, before any text is read — you don't have to configure anything.

Passwords, password managers & banking apps
Crypto wallets, keys & seed phrases
.env files & private keys
Private / incognito browser windows
Secure password fields

How it's stored

Your data never leaves the device — and even locally it's protected.

On-device only
Everything happens locally. No cloud, no account, no telemetry. The network is used once — to download the model — and never for your data.
Secrets removed on capture
A deterministic redactor strips API keys, tokens, passwords, and card numbers from text before it's stored. Whole frames that are themselves secrets are dropped entirely.
Stored under your macOS account
Your data lives in ~/Library/Application Support/Glint, readable only by your user account. Turning on FileVault encrypts it along with the rest of your disk.
Logged when shared
Each time you hand context to an AI app, Glint records it locally so there's an honest trail of what left the app and when.

Messaging apps

Personal chat is sensitive, so Glint treats it as off-limits by default. The first time you open a messaging app it asks whether to capture it; until you say yes, nothing from that app is read. Change your mind anytime.

You're always in control

Pause anytime
One click in the menu bar stops all capture immediately. Nothing is recorded while paused.
🚫
Block any app
Open the dashboard, find the app, and hit Block. Glint will never read that window again.
🗑
Delete your data
Delete a single thread, a day's captures, or everything at once — all from the dashboard.

See what was shared
Every context export is logged locally. You always know exactly what Glint handed to an AI tool.
